Bloody Mary Mix                              back to home

1 quart mix

On holidays my dad use to make Bloody Mary’s  for brunch- in the cold months he called them hot tomato juice cocktails- because he served them hot- both temperature wise and tabasco wise. I can still picture him in the kitchen on Thanksgiving morning mixing up his brew before tackling the turkey- first things first after all! I usually make mine virgin- sans vodka - while working in the kitchen. Once I am out of the weeds and the brunch is almost ready to serve I add a splash of vodka and remember my sweet pop.

1 quart tomato juice or V-8( low sodium)

juice of 1 lemon

3/4 t celery salt

1 T Worchester sauce

lemon slices for garnish

celery stalks for garnish

few grindings of black pepper

tabasco- to desired hotness

and of course... Vodka
