“More than Gourmet” stocks and demi-glaces are a good alternative to homemade when it comes to making good sauces and soups. Often I add a little to soups to give it a little more depth of flavor. You can order direct from them on line or they can usually be found in upscale food markets. For the demi-glace I often just need a little and freeze the rest. Next time i need a some- i scoop a little more out- and then back to the freezer. I think it is a quality product and has less sodium compared to others on the market. It comes in a variety of flavors, chicken, vegetable, veal, beef, lamb and venision,etc. It is made in the old world European tradition and has no preservatives .
